In 2018, Harry Holding won a scholarship to study at the London College of Garden Design (LCGD).
LCGD celebrated their 10th birthday by launching a special bursary scheme aiming to award the right applicants a scholarship on to one of each of their courses, the Garden Design Diploma and the Planting Design Diploma, but due to an overwhelming response and extremely high standard of applicants, they swiftly changed this to four scholarships, two for each of their courses.
Andrew Wilson, Director of Garden Design Studies said “We were overwhelmed by the response to the scheme” and also added, “The standard of applicants and their submissions were particularly high from gardeners with experience of work in heritage locations and also from those who have developed successful businesses of their own. We felt that to recognise that high standard we should double the number of bursaries offered.”
Harry was successful in his application and was enrolled in the Garden Design Diploma at LCGD.
