It’s an absolute pleasure to have been asked by Gardens Illustrated to contribute to this feature on trends in garden design for the year ahead! 2022 had its challenges – both for the environment and the economy – I find it interesting to ponder on what lies ahead and to consider what role our green spaces can play in creating a positive future. It’s a joy to see a host of optimistic trends from friends and colleagues – the themes of nature connection, gardens for wildlife and resilient planting bring a lot of hope and I certainly echo all of these thoughts. 🌱
We’re back in the studio this week. With lots of exciting projects on the drawing board, it’s an important time to consider how we can continue to push our practice further – taking steps forward to ensure the green spaces we touch have as positive an impact as possible both for their human and non-human inhabitants.
