Garden design in London

A London garden often comes with a unique set of challenges. Deep shade from neighbouring buildings, wind on an exposed roof, overlooking on three sides, historic party walls, poor access through the ground floor, and London clay that is dry in summer and wet in winter. We embrace all of it and turn it into considered design. Our breadth of experience across the city gives us an instinctive feel for what will work on a site before we draw it.

Most of our London clients are looking to escape: an oasis in the heart of the city. Abundant, naturalistic planting is a common thread through our work, so a shaded courtyard feels as full of life as an open garden. The result is somewhere that feels like a world of its own.
