The design draws on natural plant communities - woodland edges, sunny meadows, seasonal wildflower drifts - translating them into forms suited to the particular demands of a city rooftop: exposed aspect, shallow substrates, and the need for year-round resilience. A 905m² biodiverse green roof crowns the building, planted as a wildflower meadow with undulations in substrate depth to create habitat niches for invertebrates and solitary bees. Structural planting on seven floors of terracing anchors the scheme with rhythm and form, while lower mixes carry colour and movement through the seasons.
